The Team Had the Right Altitude
The setting for this project defines the word “picturesque.” Since the introduction of its first lifts 40 years ago, Northstar California (formerly known as Northstar at Tahoe) has been a destination for skiers and snowboarders; painters and photographers; working, wealthy and world-traveled individuals.
This design-build project required our team to complete site branding, wayfinding, code and regulatory signage. The scope of work included project management, the submittal of a Master Sign Plan, engineering and permitting, manufacturing and installation, as well as securing an ongoing maintenance program.
The client was East West Partners, a collection of related but independent companies that builds, sells, manages and supports top-drawer real estate in a variety of communities in which they operate.
The designer was Stantec (formerly known as CommArts).
Word on the street makes us blush, gratefully. Kurt Krieg, general partner in the project, writes:
We chose to work with Weidner Architectural Signage under a design-build contract for Northstar Lodge Hyatt based upon our previous experience working with the Weidner team on the signage at the Village-at-Northstar ancillary community signage. … The project manager kept the project moving forward, insuring we hit all of our schedule milestones.
