Pacific Plaza Offers a “Daly” Reminder of Design Excellence

Pacific Plaza, Daly City

Adjacent to the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), from which commuters can zip to San Francisco International Airport in 15 minutes, Pacific Plaza is the very definition of “strategically located.”

Pacific Plaza includes an eight story Class A office building and a retail Plaza featuring extensive parking and a diverse mixture of businesses, including 22 Century Theater screens, Kome Restaurant, Cold Stone Creamery, Subway, Round Table Pizza, Rice Bowl, and Tomo Sushi and Teriyaki.

The Client was Summit Commercial Properties.

The team included Todd Calish Architect, Charles Pankow Builders, Weidner Architectural Signage, and jkeppel. creative strategies.

Weidner’s role was to design, manufacture and install a fixed-budget comprehensive signage program for the facility. This included site branding — building-top sign criteria, parking garage, retail guidelines, way-finding and complete office building signage (such as a directory and tenant sign program, among other assignments).

Word on the street about the project’s success comes from Scott Anderson of Charles Pankow Builders, who writes:

Knowing that we are able to rely on the Weidner team to deliver a quality product on time and under budget allows Pankow to meet aggressive cost and schedule commitments to our clients. We consider Weidner Architectural Signage to be an industry leader, providing a truly unique and valuable service within the signage industry.
